Frequent Questions

We perform weddings all day long. However, the best times for weddings are typically before 11 am or after 2 pm, depending on the time of year and sunset. To find out the sunset time for your preferred wedding date, simply do a quick Google search with your date and “(Preferred city) beach sunset.” If you have a specific time of day in mind, let us know, we will work with you to find / accommodate your start time. FYI. Sunset wedding times are the first ones to get booked. Having an alternative time as back up is always advised.

No, we only provide the actual ceremony / reception service. However, we can make recommendations for preferred accommodations and transportation services in the area.

The nearest Airports are: Pensacola (PNS) airport or Mobile (MOB) airport.

You need to arrive dressed and ready to start. There is no place to change at the beach. Most of our brides get ready at their hotel, condo, or at a salon. If you are staying at a local hotel, you could inquire if they provide a “Day Room” for your use.

Guest seating can be added to a package. We also have packages with chairs included. Please contact us for details.

You can choose a package with an arch, but it is not required. We offer packages both with and without an arch.

We have a Ceremony & Reception package available. Contact us for details.

We can also assist with day-of coordination and decoration services to plan your celebration. We can also help you our preferred vendors for catering and other reception needs.

Many times, there are showers and we may wait for the rain to pass to proceed with the ceremony as there is no backup location on the beach. It’s advisable to schedule your wedding a few days before you must leave town so we can reschedule for the following day to the next available opening, if necessary. We recommend not focusing on the weather too much (months or weeks away), as it can change a lot from one day to the next on the beach.

We will try to reschedule your ceremony date to accommodate both parties the best we can. For weddings scheduled during hurricane season (June-November), we strongly suggest purchasing Wedding Insurance. This offers protection in case of severe weather or other extreme circumstances out of your control. We recommend Eventsured as a reliable option.

You may check the Weather.com average temperatures and precipitation tables by month.

Marriage License Information

It is easy, you no longer need to go to the courthouse! If you choose to be married in Alabama, you no longer obtain a marriage license at the Courthouse before your ceremony. Instead, you are required to sign a Marriage Certificate and file it with the Probate Judge after you are married (by mail). This streamlined process makes it easier for our destination wedding clients.

Just follow these four simple steps:

  1. Couples no longer need to go to the courthouse.
  2. Fill out the “Marriage Certificate Form” and print it. DO NOT SIGN IT!
  3. Fill out the “Certified Copy Request” form and print it.
  4. Obtain a money order or cashier’s check for the $73 Baldwin County filing fee and add $3 for each certified copy you may want to request. The money order or cashier’s check must be made out to the “Probate Judge.”

An Alabama Notary must sign your Certificate, the couple must appear in person with an official ID, the Alabama Notary will verify your IDs & sign your certificate. Then you will mail it out to the County Judge with your money order.  Exact details will be sent to you in your Welcome Pocket once you book your wedding, for your convenience.

Other Frequently Asked Questions

The beaches in Alabama & Florida are public, so yes. Even if you were to rent a beach house, the beach in front of the beach house is public passing the sand dunes, and anyone can seat there. Usually, many beach tourists will start packing up and leaving around 4-5 pm. Normally, there should be significantly fewer people on the beach at that time.

Your time is very important, as is ours. Everyone attending your wedding, including the bride & groom and bridal party, must plan to arrive to the beach 30 minutes ahead of your ceremony start time. We start our weddings ON TIME. – We will wait 10 minutes as a courtesy; after that, a penalty of $50.00 will be applied for every 10 minutes we have to wait. If you are more than 40 minutes late, your beach wedding may be canceled. Setting a time is crucial for your photography as well. If you are scheduled for a Sunset wedding, that is normally one hour before sunset; if you are late and we run out of “good light,” we cannot be held responsible for the quality of the pictures.

Pastor/ministers, photographers, set up crew, etc., have other commitments and will leave the beach or get engaged in other events. If you arrive late, your photography time, set up on the beach, etc., will be cut short.

Your Ceremony set up is scheduled for one hour on the beach only, from the time is scheduled to start.

No, we kindly ask that you do not bring your own chairs or decor to the beach for your event. This is to prevent any confusion or mix-up with the chairs, ensuring that everything runs smoothly for your special day. Additionally, we exclusively use our own decor to maintain a consistent and cohesive aesthetic throughout the event.

Lastly, we are regulated by the State and there are many rules to follow to set up a wedding on the beach. The State patrols the beaches and you can get fined if you set up items that are prohibited by the State. They do this to keep our beaches clean and safe for other beach goers, as well as the indigenous fauna that lives on it.

Of course, you can! You should be free to express how you feel about each other in your own way! Let us know your preference, and we will accommodate you.

Yes, we do! We marry all couples equally.

While beach weddings are naturally more informal compared to traditional church weddings, a rehearsal is recommended if you have more than six people in your bridal party. Alternatively, you can opt for a DIY rehearsal where you practice walking down the aisle. This allows you to ensure everyone knows their role and the ceremony flows smoothly. If you want us to perform a rehearsal with you, we have Rehearsal available at $250

We normally book one year in advance with May & June being the busiest time. We recommend booking your wedding as soon as possible to secure your date. We are now accepting reservations up to 2 years in advance.

We always recommend you to check with the State directly, in case the latest information on Marriage Licenses we have has changed.

Feel free to reach out if you have any other questions or concerns!
